This slide set gives the results of several clinical trials using a LMWH, tinzaparin, in the treatment and prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Tinzaparin is manufactured by enzymatic digestion of the parent unfractionated heparin molecule. It is routinely administered subcutaneously once daily in a weight-based dose.
